Hide Your Mothers, Wives, & Daughters: Joe Biden’s Coming to North Dakota

Last month we published an article about former Vice President Joe Biden’s planned visit to North Dakota. Beginning today through Sunday, the Democratic-NPL State Convention is being held and Biden is on schedule to attend a luncheon Saturday– with a keynote address to follow.

The move by state Democrats to invite former President Barrack Obama’s side-kick to their convention tells me how out of touch they are with North Dakotans. And while I suppose it will draw the party’s more devoted to the event, I’m guessing that it really won’t do much in terms of growing the party. Joe Biden’s politics simply don’t represent the majority of voters in our state.

As troubling as Biden’s politics are, there’s another aspect to the former Vice President that has earned him the title of “Creepy Uncle Joe”. In fact, he became so well-known for his uncomfortable tendencies around females – young to old – that the Washington Post published one blogger’s humorous spin on it called, “What Are We Going to do About Creepy Uncle Joe Biden?” There’s even compilation videos like this one featuring instances that warrant the title– oddly enough, the first example is Biden’s photo op with Senator Heidi Heitkamp and him talking about being frisked in North Dakota:

If this is the best North Dakota’s Democrats can do to raise the profile of their party, then I think it’s safe to say that they won’t be looking at a tremendous amount of relevance in state politics anytime soon.

Yes, hide your mothers, wives, and daughters– Creepy Uncle Joe is coming to town.
